Hope Street is an arm of Baptist Care and is committed to putting faith into action by providing compassionate care to those struggling men and women living in inner city suburbs. Glenbrook Baptist Church, under the coordination of Joe and Sue Armour, combines with about six other churches to provide breakfast each Sunday morning to these people in the Woolloomooloo area of Sydney.
The OCC group at GBC, coordinated by Margaret Usman and Glenda Davis, has a twofold aim: (1) To bless children in vulnerable conditions throughout the world by filling shoe boxes with toys, clothes, hygiene items, school supplies, and fun gifts, and (2) To reach our local community for Jesus by working together on monthly craft days to make items, collect donations and fill the shoe boxes.
Kairos Prison Ministry International is a Christian faith-based ministry that addresses the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women, youth, their families and those who work with them. Glenn Holdsworth from GBC has volunteered with Kairos for 23 years, and works particularly at John Morony and Parklea Corrections Centres.
The Gideons work internationally in 200 countries worldwide. Peter Sharoff works locally across the mountains from Lapstone to Portland. He is involved in personal witnessing; placement of the Word; school presentations and church presentations.
Pauline Golder works with both SIM and Icete Academy, setting up teaching seminars and better access to internet resources in French-speaking Africa, helping develop training in education for theological educators and translation.
John Harris serves as one of the leaders of iTeams Netherlands, responsible for the overall work of missionaries who serve in 11 locations across The Netherlands, Europe and two locations in Africa. He provides training and equipping of those missionaries, ministry coaching and general support.
Fusion Australia is a non-denominational, Christian, not-for-profit youth and community organisation. Fusion is committed to providing high quality programs that meet local needs and work toward the development, growth and faith of young people and the communities in which they live. Fusion’s centre in the Blue Mountains is led by Annelise and Josh Schroder.
Global Interaction (GI) currently works among people groups across Asia and Central Australia. GI is involved in the full spectrum of gospel ministry, from pioneering work among least reached peoples through to training Christian leaders and planting faith communities, and also providing a support role to established Pastors and Churches.
Baptist World Aid (BWA) partners with local Christian organisations and churches to be love, and work alongside poor communities, helping them to end poverty. BWA seeks to reflect God’s heart and the way of Jesus everywhere that they serve.
The Bible Society Australia (BSA) exists to impact and influence Australia and the world by opening the Bible to all people everywhere by all means possible. BSA champions Bible distribution, translation, advocacy and engagement.
